One of our four core suppliers; Oranit, is proving itself a strong player in the timber wall and ceiling market and you will find their ceilings across the UK. From Exeter to Inverness LSA have supplied over 30,000m2 of this stylish and high-performance product which is popular with architects and installers alike. Shiluvit panels sit elegantly between bespoke joinery solutions and off-the-shelf cladding products, giving the designer full customisation within the parameters of the system. Specifiers can pick and choose from ranges of standard natural timber species, finishing options, and module styles; with scope to customise at each stage. | |
Oranit panels are available in 3 core sizes designed to work with standard suspension grids making designing and installing a project with Oranit panels is incredibly straightforward. From here panels can be specified in any of the 16 standard module options including vertical and horizontal blades, extra deep blades, and alternating blade depth options. Designers can then choose from 5 natural timber options, each available with standard clear varnish or optional whitewashing, custom staining, or painting. This allows sustainable timber to be altered to match the appearance of exotic or more expensive species'. The sustainability and responsible sourcing of all the timber we supply is a priority from all of our suppliers. Oranit supply all panels from their standard range of natural timbers with PEFC certification for ethical and sustainable timber sourcing across the full chain of custody from forest to the end user. PEFC - Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification - is the largest forest certification system in the world, dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management since 1999. Assessments for certification aim to support sustainable management of forests by ensuring timber products that reach the market have an accountable custody chain through the market.
Additionally, Oranit hold Cradle-to-Cradle Bronze Award for positive impact of products and materials in the construction industry. C2C assesses designers, manufacturers, and suppliers on material health factors including VOCs, product circularity and lifespan, clean air and climate protection, and social fairness. One of the more unique qualities of Oranit panels is the optional additional lacquer which protects panels against humidity. If this is applied panels are guaranteed for installation in wet or damp areas including within swimming pool halls and outdoor installation. |
Oranit panels achieve industry leading performance results for reaction to fire; classified B-s2,d0 for minimal spread of flames, minimal smoke production, and structural integrity after fire damage. This performance is achieved using a non-toxic pressure impregnation without need for additional lacquers that provide minimal protection. In addition to the stunning visual permiability of Oranit linear panels, the intrinsic exposure created by the large gaps allows for high acoustic performance. The panel system has been tested to achieve up to Class A using 20mm high density acoustic mineral wool. |
Oranit Panels are available in the UK exclusively through LSA Projects Ltd. 2023 will bring back our CPD program for Architects and Interior designers. Our online seminars will look at acoustics and Euroclasses of Fire Resistance as well as FSC and PEFC timber certification.
