472 pieces of linear ribs in natural Oak veneer were installed to the facilities pod at the rear of St Matthews and St James’ Church in Mossley Hill, Liverpool.
The pod houses kitchen facilities with a service hatch into the main space as well as accessible bathrooms, storage, and sound and light controls for the church.

Linear Ribs were chosen to compliment the grand and historic interior of the church using timeless natural timber with a stylish modern edge to suit the requirements of the community. The ribs also help to provide acoustic control to the space within the structure of the facilities pod without needing to compromise the original features of the building.

We are proud to share that this project won two Green Apple awards for sustainable design in 2018 in the Beautiful Buildings and Built Environments categories.
