260m2 of linear ribs in white and Walnut foil were installed to the feature stairways and the multi-use performance space at the Curve library and community hub in Slough.
In both areas the ribs were installed with acoustic mineral wool behind allowing the client to have the best of both worlds; a functional product that looks great! The solid gypsum rib and durable foil finish makes the rib system perfect for high traffic public spaces.
The £22m Curve was intended to be part of a regeneration of Slough and so far has succeeded; the library membership and attendance has gone up significantly and in spite of being nominated for the Carbuncle Cup in 2017 is a well-used and valuable resource for the community.
