This prize is awarded to projects that have an impact on the property landscape of the county, providing a state of the art workplace for its staff, and supporting global sustainability goals. As part of the larger and long-term Fruit Market regeneration scheme in Hull city centre, Arco HQ is a landmark commecial investment to the area which supports arts and local businesses.
LSA supplied over 100m2 of Gustafs Linear Ribs to the project for the feature wall and staircase in the main entry lobby of the building. 74mm deep ribs at 118mm centres were specified by the architects at iDEA design for their dramatic impact as well as acoustic performance. The 8m high feature wall is made up of 4 rows of ribs with shadow gaps along the vertical joints between the ribs.
The U-Fix installation system used for Gustafs Ribs allowed the installers at Elite Shopfitting to include breaks in the ribs to fit around the display screens and service panels in the wall. Ribs are installed using invisible fixing clips which are push-fitted into grooves on the back of each piece. U-Fix clips can be fitted at a maximum of 600mm centres along the length of each rib and extra long U-Fix 200 pieces can be supplied to ensure perfect vertical alignment between ribs.
