Architect: Allford Hall Monaghan Morris
Product: Bespoke Durlum Ceiling Rafts
Installer: Clark & Fenn
Installers from Skanska and Clark & Fenn are on site at the new commercial facility at One Great Cumberland Place near Marble Arch and Oxford Street in London. The major refurbishment projects designed by London Architects AHMM is due to launch later this year. The building will be home to multiple retail and leisure facilities as well as 57,000 sq ft of contemporary office space over it’s 8 floors.
LSA Projects supplied over 800m2 of custom Durlum ceiling rafts to the project. The ceilings are based on the standard Dur-Solo ceiling system which allows for multi-panel rafts to be installed separately rather than using a standard fully gridded ceiling.
Rafts at Great Cumberland Place were also supplied with custom made curved perimeter upstands as an alternative to standard square edges used with Dur-Solo. These trims were delivered in small sections designed to be bolted seamlessly onto the panel rafts.
The individual panels in each raft were perforated in RV-L51 20mm style and panels were supplied fitted with a black mineral wool lining for acoustic control.
